Types of Processed Data, Purposes, and Affected Persons

  1. Types of Data We Process Usage data (access times, visited pages, etc.), master data (name, address, etc.), contact data (phone number, email, fax, etc.), payment data (bank details, account information, payment history, etc.), contract data (subject matter of the contract, term, etc.), content data (text inputs, videos, photos, etc.), communication data (IP address, etc.).
  2. Purposes of Processing Contract fulfillment, technical and economic optimization of the website, enabling easy access to the website, compliance with contractual and legal obligations, optimization and statistical evaluation of our services, improving user experience, marketing/advertising, creation of statistics, prevention of spam and abuse, customer service, handling contact inquiries, provision of features and content, security measures, uninterrupted and secure operation of our website.
  3. Categories of Affected Persons Visitors/users of the website, customers, prospects (collectively referred to as “users”).

Legal Bases for the Processing of Personal Data Processing is carried out primarily in accordance with the principles of the FADP (in particular lawfulness, proportionality, and transparency). Where the GDPR applies additionally:

  • On the basis of consent: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
  • For the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • For compliance with legal obligations: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
  • For the protection of legitimate interests (e.g., website security): Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, provided your interests do not override them.

Disclosure to Third Parties and Processors We do not disclose data to third parties without your consent as a general rule. Disclosure occurs only on the basis of the aforementioned legal grounds (e.g., to payment service providers for contract fulfillment or due to legal obligations). We engage processors (e.g., web hosting providers). This is done on the basis of contracts pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR or comparable safeguards under the FADP. We carefully select these processors and regularly monitor them.

Data Transfers to Third Countries Your data is primarily processed in Switzerland and the EEA. Any transfer to third countries (e.g., USA) takes place only under the conditions of the FADP (Art. 16 et seq.) or GDPR (Art. 44 et seq.), e.g., on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), Standard Contractual Clauses, or other appropriate safeguards.

Deletion of Data and Storage Period Data is deleted as soon as the purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations (e.g., 10 years for tax purposes) prevent deletion. Otherwise, the data will be blocked or deleted.

Automated Decision-Making We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Provision of the Website and Log Files When using the website for purely informational purposes, we collect only the data transmitted by your browser (IP address, date/time, browser type, etc.). Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage in log files: 30 days for security reasons.

Contact (Form, Email, Phone, etc.) When you contact us, we process your data to handle the inquiry. Legal bases: Consent, contract, or legitimate interest. Storage until the inquiry is resolved, longer if required by law.

YouTube Videos We embed YouTube videos in extended data protection mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When playing a video, data (e.g., IP address) is transmitted to Google (USA). Legal basis: Consent by clicking/playing (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Further information: Google’s Privacy Policy.

Social Media Plug-ins (Shariff Solution) We use the Shariff two-click solution. Data is only transmitted to the respective network (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) upon activation of the button. Legal basis: Consent by activation. Further information in the providers’ privacy policies.

Rights of Data Subjects You have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent, and objection (in particular against processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing). Complaints can be lodged with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland or an EU supervisory authority.
